On The Ballymena Riots, Civil War, South Africa, and the Necessity of Remigration
Los Angeles is not the only Western city burning though it is certainly garnering most of the mass media attention. Here in the United Kingdom a modest town of 30,000 souls called Ballymena has been subject to three days of rioting and protests. The major difference is that it is the natives rioting instead of an ethnic minority with foreign allegiances.
When these riots first kicked off I immediately assumed it was some kind of Catholic Irish vs. Protestant British conflagration, but no. After a great deal of digging, because our media isn’t exactly telling us why these riots are happening, I discovered the Northern Irish are taking to the streets in defence of their children.

Several days ago two Romanian teenagers were arrested after sexually assaulting a girl near Ballymena. It has since been reported they required interpreters at their first appearance before Coleraine Magistrates' Court.
It’s here I speak not only for myself but the entire White Papers team when I encourage the people of Ballymena to engage in robust peaceful protests to express their anger. Attend public forums, take to the streets, the media/airwaves, and spread the word but do so peacefully. Organise and build something lasting from this tragedy so that it can push forward the political interests of the native people of these islands.
When I joined the White Papers team in September of 2024 Director Quinn highlighted that in advocating for remigration we are also advocating for the stability of Western societies. That without remigration our democracies (what little is left of them) will fail, our institutions will collapse, and our children will endure a rather harsh future. She was correct of course, and we have continued to work hard on pushing realistic and humane solutions to end the era of mass migration and the Great Replacement.
Still, it’s no secret that Britain is in crisis. Our economy is stagnant, the cost of living continues to spiral, we have the highest energy prices in the developed world, and mass immigration has only gotten worse in the last few years. And now every incident of crime or even an international football match risks sparking a row of ethnic riots in any random British city. All of these failings by our ruling class have resulted in a country where 45% of Britons ‘almost never’ trust the government, no matter what party occupies No. 10 Downing Street. 58% of Brits do not trust our politicians to tell the truth (up 19-points since 2020) and a staggering though manifestly unsurprising 79% of Brits believed the government could do with ‘quite a lot’ or ‘a great deal’ of improvement. Even 49% of Britons who are self-reported to ‘live comfortably’ do not trust our political system. All of this data comes from the National Centre for Social Research and was published in mid-2024. One can imagine that these metrics have only deteriorated further as the Starmer ministry has failed so spectacularly at governing.
This stratospheric level of disenchantment, combined with events such as the post-Southport protests and an ever-growing national outrage over the Pakistani grooming gang scandal, has led several high-profile members of the elite class in Britain to begin warning about the potential for civil strife, ethnic chaos (or should I said even more ethnic chaos), and the possibility of total system breakdown.
I first became aware of this talk of “civil war” when David Betz, professor of war in the modern world in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London (a prestigious institution), published an initial piece in Military Strategy Magazine (Civil War Comes to the West, Summer 2023) warning that 12-15 countries in the Western world including and especially the United Kingdom had several markers of a society on the brink of teetering into civil conflict and disarray. Betz just recently published a second piece on the same topic and expanded on his view and the criteria that are pushing the West towards institutional and social collapse.
My second encounter with this ‘civil war’ talk came in the late May of 2025 when Dominic Cummings, a career Tory, elite insider, and government advisor, published a piece on his Substack warning that elite blindness and hatred for the average native Brit was causing us to spiral toward societal breakdown and potential civil conflict.
In a recent lecture Cummings reinforced this idea by stating “the crumbling of our regime and its elites mean we’re now only random viral posts away from riots and prairie fires getting out of control.”
These articles and statements by both of these experts in their respective arenas share a core theme: mass immigration and elite hatred/neglect for native Western peoples is leading towards a total disintegration of public trust in what are supposed to be our nation-state governments but are in truth provincial administrations of a global post-national elite consensus. They go on to state that when a critical mass of Brits/Americans/Germans/the French etc realise our governments are working against us and not at all for us things will deteriorate rapidly. Or as Cummings puts it: “slow rot, elite blindness, fast crisis, sudden collapse”.
I am not entirely convinced that the plainly obvious deterioration of Britain’s society will lead to some kind of ‘civil war’, but perhaps that is just my own normalcy bias clinging on in desperation. What I am convinced of is that without serious political solutions to end the era of mass migration trust in Britain’s institutions will dissolve entirely and this country will devolve into little more than ethnic enclaves aggressively (politically) competing for an ever-shrinking pot of state resources. Policing will became incredibly difficult, the NHS will stagger and eventually implode, our economy will permanently stagnate, native Britons will be persona non grata in huge swathes of our own homeland, and the state will respond to every instance of ethnic turbulence by blaming White Britons in the same way White Americans are blamed for every racial squabble (see White Americans being blamed for Black crime against Asians circa 2021).
In other words, I see Britain devolving into a rainy island-based derivative of what modern day South Africa has become. If nothing is done, that is.
It should come as no shock I do not want Britain to become the North Atlantic South Africa. I want the British people to remain the majority in our homeland and to govern it as a nation-state that expresses our interests and identity. I want those limited number of immigrants we do invite to join our national community to integrate and have no opportunity to disappear into parallel societies because those societies won’t exist in such a Britain. (see Suella Braverman, Alp Mehmet, or Ben Habib as good examples of integration).
In order to prevent either a “civil war”or South Africa style scenario the insurgent democratic nationalist and national-conservative political forces that are rising in polls and winning elections across the West need to get serious about remigration. Nigel Farage needs a remigration plan, the PVV needs a broader remigration plan, AfD needs a better remigration plan, and National Rally (Marine Le Pen) needs a remigration plan. If these parties are unable or unwilling to take remigration seriously then new parties that do will need to be established without delay.
Let me offer some very basic advice to any nationalist or national-conservative force that seeks to put together such a policy:
#1 Legal immigration is responsible for admitting most immigrants in the West today. Most of those people rioting in California are legal residents of the US and those two Romanian boys accused of sexual assault are in this country legally. Cut legal immigration, radically.
#2 Asylum seekers and illegal immigrants are a problem. Border control fixes it. Schemes don’t need to be complex. Trump fixed the American problem in a matter of days.
#3 Be willing to deport criminal dual nationals for even the most meager of crimes. They forfeit any moral claim to their citizenship when they commit crimes.
#4 Millions of recent immigrants are not yet citizens. Stop renewing their visas and let them expire then send them home. It’s not complicated, we did it during COVID.
#5 Voluntary remigration is a must! Pay people generous sums to pack up and leave, it will save hundreds of billions if not trillions in the long run. This policy matters more than any other in terms of number of potential departures.
#6 Have an honest conversation about integration. We simply cannot integrate all of these people, a large sum need to leave in order to integrate the willing few. Many second-generation migrants dislike our societies and feel alienated here. They will be happier in their homeland.
#7 Commit to leaving or ignoring any international institution that restricts your ability to deport people. The ECHR is a meaningless, toothless, progressive kangaroo court that does not have an army to enforce its rulings. Who cares what they think.
Western peoples are still the majority in every one of our homelands and even in the United States where ethnic Americans are a near-minority (54% or thereabouts) they are still 71% of the voter base. In Britain native Brits are certainly 85% or more of the voting population, for now.
There are also opportunities to build alliances. Certain groups of ethnic minorities, such as the East African Asians/Indians who arrived in the 1970s, are highly integrated into British life. Suella Braverman (who I lauded as one of Britain’s bravest women) comes from this community and was raised in Britain at a time when the ethnic minority share of the population was just 4%.
In other words, small enough that immigrants had no choice but to integrate! Similarly a large share of third-generation Hispanics in the United States are integrated, American-identifying, conservative, and nationalist in political orientation. In short: build patriotic coalitions around remigration policy.
Western democracies have become fragile after decades of neglect and irresponsible policy making by our progressive elite classes. They have become so radical that any suggestion of border control or deportations engenders outrage by the city-based and highly educated left-wing voter base, but those people are a relatively small share of the overall population. Western politicians interested in preserving our countries and ways of life must begin to get serious about remigration.
