There are now more than 160,000 asylum applications in the Home Office’s backlog, and the problem continues to get worse. This is a 60% year-on-year increase in the backlog at a time when aslyum seekers are no longer niche group. Asylum seekers once made up less than 5% of all immigrants to the UK, now they are 20% of the immigrant population annually, and growing.
The United Kingdom is one of the most well resourced nations in history, the idea put forward by politicians and the media that Britain cannot control her borders , or that this is particularly difficult, is a lie.
Britain is a sovereign state with a budget of hundreds of billions of pounds and a large security apparatus. These migrants could be arrested, frogmarched onto a waiting aircraft and deported with ease. Not to mention with extreme savings for the native British taxpayer.
Boats in the channel should be seized, sunk, and their occupants delivered to a holding area, perhaps a large tent city, to be deported within 7 days time. There should be no consideration for asylum, they broke the law.
At the moment the British taxpayer is footing a £40.85 per migrant per week. For just the 160,000 migrants in the backlog this is £400 million annually. Another 50,000 migrants are being housed in hotels across Britain, costing the British taxpayer £6 million per day and has led the Home Office to request an additional £2 billion in funding.
Rather than running 'reception' and 'treatment' centers, let alone settling migrants in small villages, the British state should be running deportation flights. More than 80 million people pass through Heathrow Airport each year, deporting every illegal arrival and visa overstay would be a fraction of a percentage of that yearly traffic.
States which refuse to take their deported nationals, as some do, can easily be pressured by a rich Western nation such as Britain. The British government discussed a policy plan to force nations to take their nationals. Even these half-hearted measures were never implemented.
Britain could block all visa issuance to such states, it could cancel the visas of all citizens of a state, there are sanctions, withdrawl of development aid and freezing of state assets, among many other options.
Britain could, and should, deliver the suspected citizens of these states to the doorstep of their embassies and if that fails it should begin expelling diplomats and blocking participation of those stations in international organizations.
The current 'British' elite are taking no significant steps and making no serious attempts to stop or combat the migrant invasion.
With OBR now projecting 'permanent' immigration to average 250,000 a year the native British need to rapidly change course.
It's time to abandon the Conservative party, which has governed for nearly 13 years, and look to an alternative.
It's time for an alternative for Britan, a Patriotic Alternative.
