In October 2020, VDARE.com posted a Steve Sailer blog titled “JFK, Mayor Daley, And The Joy of Counting Your Votes Last”. For a quick summary, a political reporter named Theodore H. White was with Mayor Daley’s Democratic political machine waiting for election results to come in for Illinois.
The Democrats were in a game of chicken with the downstate Republican machine to see who would release their results first. The Republicans broke first and had Nixon up by something like 3,000 votes.
Theodore White was “dismayed” because he thought this meant Nixon won, but JFK campaign aide Dick Donohue was jubilant. What was he so excited about? Now, the highly-efficient (and corrupt) Daley Machine knew the number they needed to beat for Kennedy. Sure enough, they found the votes to make Kennedy the winner.
For some reason, this whole thing had me thinking of ball bearings. I remember reading that during World War II, the allies were discussing what to bomb over in Germany. Obviously, oil refineries, railway tracks and bridges were obvious targets. The wartime Office of Strategic Services (a precursor to the CIA) had a bunch of bankers in their ranks, and, while they were not engineers, they did the logical thing and asked what was insured the most in American industry [OSS Unit Used Insurance Data as Weapons of War, by Mark Fritz, Washington Post, October 28, 2000]. In other words, what device if it failed would affect the most other industries. The result was the lowly ball bearing, a relatively unsophisticated device, but one that is needed in every mechanical wheel turning. So, they went after that.
In a different way, but somewhat similarly, if you know your views are not popular and you want to rig an election, how would you do it? Well, there was once a “bipartisan” commission set up to make recommendations on how to ensure the integrity of our elections.
The 2005 Carter Baker Report would become the blueprint for voter fraud. You would look at that report, and essentially do the opposite of what it recommended. [7 Ways the 2005 Carter-Baker Report Could Have Averted Problems With 2020 Election, Daily Signal, November 20, 2020]
I won’t get in to all of the 87 recommendations made by the report, but the seven highlighted by the Daily Signal are
1) Voter IDs. I believe almost all Western democracies except ours require voter ID—and Africa and Latin America are catching up. When I was on the southern border with the Border Patrol, just about every Mexican adult I arrested carried their electoral card, much more often than their driver’s license.
However, here in the United States, many jurisdictions have gone to war to prevent voters from being required to show ID. They claim they are racist and that black people are too stupid to know how to get IDs. AKA The soft bigotry of low expectations.
Ami Horowitz blows up this idea in the video below
2) Mail-In and Absentee Voting Risks. France banned mail in voting back in 1975 due to fraud mainly out of Corsica. Many Corsicans see themselves as more Italian than French and the Corsicans even have their very own Mafia. Today, only French expatriates can vote by mail from overseas by getting a ballot from their consulates.
3) Avoiding Duplicate Registrations Across State Lines. States should regularly update their voter registration lists to remove those who have moved out of state. Judicial Watch has been suing states to get them to remove ineligible voters, and they have sued New York City and Los Angeles County as well.
4) Election Observers for Integrity. You don’t want people watching your steal. If someone is there legitimately trying to ensure the election is on the up and up, you need to attack them, or, intimidate them. Oops, Detroit lawyer for the Democrats let slip that they full well intend to do that. See EXCLUSIVE: Detroit Democrats Hold Training Session for Poll Challengers, Reveal: Increased Number of Goons Will Be Present to Abuse GOP Challengers, The Goal Is to Attack GOP Inspectors, All Ballots Will be Allowed! (VIDEO), Gateway Pundit , October 18, 2024
According to lawyer David Jaffe, the Democrats will not be challenging any ballot cast, their purpose is to make sure Republican poll watchers are prevented from doing their jobs. (Like a moral crusader, he says the Democrats are the good guys. I believe this blinds him to the evil he commits).
5) Reliable Voting Machines. Once again, I recommend the video from HBO “Kill Chain: The Cyber War on America’s Elections”. Sure, it was a video made back in 2020 before the 2020 election, and it warned about Russia, Iran and any other foreign actor hacking our elections. The liberals at HBO downplayed the fact that Americans can hack our own elections too.
6) Media Calling Elections. I won’t worry too much about this—the threat is that an early victory call may make voters stay home, a self-fulfilling prophecy—because at this point, practically no immigration patriot voters will believe them for a second.
7) Prosecuting Voter Fraud. 18th century Italian criminologist Cesare Beccaria’s principles for criminal justice are: A) All the rules should be clear. B) If a person violates the law, that person should be certain of punishment. C) The punishment must be reasonably prompt.
Unfortunately, despite what many to believe to be widespread evidence of voter fraud in 2020, few people were prosecuted, and those who were received relatively light sentences. (Probably more people have been prosecuted for investigating voter fraud in 2020.) It is up to the states to investigate voter fraud, and the party who was elected due to fraud has an incentive not to look too hard into how they got elected.
As I said at the beginning, counting your vote last is often essential to cheating. You need to know how many votes the other side got in order to be certain you can make up enough votes for the win. How are they going to do that? How about we try the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA). According to Wikipedia, it allows:
Members of the then-seven (now eight thanks to Trump’s Space Force) Uniformed Services
Members of the U.S. Merchant Marine
Eligible family members of the above
U.S. citizens employed by the federal government residing outside the U.S.
Other private U.S. citizens residing outside the United States.
Ignore the first part about our military and their families being allowed to vote (they tend to be conservative), instead, focus on the last category, “Other private U.S. citizens residing outside the United States.” That sort of negates having to write down the previous four categories separately when you essentially are arguing that all U.S. citizens can vote from overseas.
The Wikipedia article brings up some challenges to this mainly from Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Residents of Washington, D.C. cannot vote in presidential elections. However, in theory, they can go overseas and then vote from there. It doesn’t make any sense. Frankly, this law should be amended or gotten rid of altogether. It looks like there will be a flood of overseas ballots coming in just in time to swing elections. In fact, if you vote from overseas, you need not even have ever resided in the jurisdiction where you intend to vote. This could allow the targeting of certain swing districts. It seems that this is already happening in Pennsylvania[Can Our Elections Be Stolen By Fake Overseas Voters? WATCH The Top US UOCAVA Expert Answer This Question and More [VIDEO], by Patty McMurray, Gateway Pundit, October 22, 2024].
Now, let me tie in birthright citizenship to this. I can remember talking with a guy who had been in the State Department stationed (as I recall) in Mali. While he was there, a small civil war broke out (possibly the 2012 Tuareg Rebellion). He told me he was tasked by the embassy with drawing up a list of Americans living in the remote parts of Mali in case those Americans should need rescuing from the rebellion. I asked him incredulously, “There are Americans living in eastern Mali?” To which he replied, “Well, they’re are not what you and I would think of as Americans, but they are on paper.” I knew what he meant. I had once busted an American citizen transporting illegal aliens to a job site. This “American” spoke no English and grew up in Mexico.
Yet, he was supposedly born at the Los Angeles hospital to two (presumably) illegal aliens, who took him back to Mexico and raised him there. He was most definitely not my countryman, but he did have a US passport. An American on paper if not in reality.
I wonder about all these fake Americans being allowed to vote in our elections. Plus, if there’s no way of verifying their identification especially from overseas, it allows the whole world to vote in our elections.
The Democrats are already telegraphing that we will not know the results of the election till days after November 5th. They are telegraphing that they are going to cheat and cheat big.
Will the American public buy the lie? Will Republicans have the guts to challenge this and fight it out in court?
How much do you want to bet that if Trump is declared the loser that Judge Merchan immediately sentences him to jail?
